Callum Stephenson, MSc, MA, RP (Qualifying)

Clinical Approach and Philosophy:

Callum is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). He holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Master of Science in Neuroscience. His graduate research focused on obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and used brain imaging to track how therapy can alter the brain. Callum’s therapeutic approach is shaped by his years of experience in psychiatric research, finding ways to improve treatment outcomes.

For Callum’s clients, this background means his practice is built on methods with real data behind them. He understands the underlying biological and psychological mechanisms of mental health, and uses this knowledge to help clients understand their own experiences. He draws heavily on evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to support individuals facing anxiety, depression, OCD, and challenges with emotion regulation.

Sessions with Callum are highly collaborative, supportive, and practical. You can expect a safe, honest, and welcoming environment with strategies you can apply between appointments. Ultimately, Callum’s goal is to equip you with the tools and understanding you need to navigate life’s challenges confidently on your own.
